New grading process from January 2022

As of January 2022, you will be able to directly upload pass/fail grades for your online ProfEd courses onto the administrative system Coachview. This process improvement change follows from a successful pilot involving courses from different faculties. It also results from the desire to provide high-quality service and a great customer (and learning) experience, both in terms of our support to you as a lecturer and – together with you – to our learners and online course participants.

Benefits

The new grading process benefits you as an online instructor by giving you immediate and direct insights into the enrolment numbers and the administrative status of each course participant, also by group enrolments if applicable. It improves efficiency, reduces the number of emails in your inbox, saves time, and reduces the potential for errors.

It also benefits your course participants through an improved customer experience as they benefit from quicker response times and a more efficient process. Once you have uploaded the grades, the system is triggered to generate and send a course certificate to the ‘pass’ learners.

Guidelines for direct grading
As of January, in advance of your ProfEd start date, you will receive an email with detailed information on the grading process and guidelines to help you directly upload the pass/fail results to Coachview, as well as contacts details for any queries you may have. Following this, you will receive an email with instructions and a link to set up your account as a lecturer for your online course on Coachview.net.

Access for direct grading will be given to one account per course, that is, one person – either to the responsible instructor or a Teaching Assistant, by agreement.

If you have early questions about the rollout, please do not hesitate to contact us.
